Some of you may know of the new thing released from Microsoft called silverlight. Silverlight is like javascript in a sense that you can give your website a better feel and put more extras on it. So far silverlight has the newest release being 2 beta 1 and the stable release of 1.0. I would think that in the future silverlight may be used widely around the globe in development and the design of websites. At the moment there its limited to what you can do with silverlight but i have put a few examples on this site (here) and if you want to find out more about silverlight and look at the other various examples follow the link below.

I saw a program on TV a while ago and it was about black holes and how they work. Stephen Hawki
ng came up with the idea that a black hole would slowly radiate heat and in the process the black hole would get
smaller and smaller and eventually burn it self out of energy from this he got the equation on the right. This posed a big problem because its a well known law that information cannot be lost it can only be changed from one form to another.
Later another physicist came up with another idea stating that black holes didn’t lose information. This made Stephen Hawking work harder than ever to prove that information was lost and that his original equation about black holes was true. When Hawking finally got his answer and announced it to the science community every one was shocked because had proved himself incorrect but had also proved the other idea that information is kept incorrect.

you can read about it a bit here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_hole_information_paradox
I found a site the other day when i was looking for a way to make a simple OS that could just play music, videos, DVD’s, and images which would workfor a simple media centre.
The site showed how to make a really simple base of an os that just produced a dialogue box with some text in it. From this you could suposedly make it into something a bit more advanced.

I wanted to make a throttle Quadrant for my Flight Simulator X on the PC. I looked up on the internet and worked out how a throttle quadrant works. So i took apart one of my old joysticks and took out the two variable resistors (potentiometers) and the two buttons. I then made a box for the throttle quadrant out of K’NEX because its easy and free. Then i put the old joystick parts into the K’NEX box and made some leavers with gears to turn the potentiometers. When it was all done i plugged it into the computer and added a new game controller in the control panel with 2 axis and 2 buttons. When that was finished i calibrated it then set it up in my flight simulator so that one axis was one engines throttle and the other axis was the other engines throttle.

If you would like to see how i made it and maybe try one yourself go to my K’NEX Throttle Quadrant Page.
